Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Yin is calming energy, whereas Yang is antagonistic energy. Everything contains some ratio of these two energies, and it is the imbalance between them that causes mental and physical illness. Usually treatments with this approach are administered by a traditional Chinese acupuncturist.

At The Treatment Table, our physiotherapist follows the scientific methods, where particular points on the body are selected for treatment based on a medical understanding of anatomy and physiology. In this way they can stimulate nerve endings within the muscles, causing them to send messages which activate the brain. The brain then triggers a response and releases natural analgesics which cause a decrease in pain levels. It is also used to stimulate trigger points.

Deep Soft Tissue Massage

Deep Soft Tissue Massage

Massage therapy is when superficial and deep layers of muscles and connective tissue are manipulated through pressure to the body. Our physiotherapist uses massage to aid the healing process, in order to enhance function. Many people are able to benefit from massage therapy, as it affects areas all over the body. Our specialist physiotherapist regularly treats people with symptoms including: neck and back pain, general fatigue, muscle pain, sports injuries.

We’re well known for our excellent standard of physiotherapy, which focuses on finding the underlying cause and then rectifying the problem in a way that lasts. You can see by our sheer number of patients that our work is of a high standard – in fact many of our patients come to us by recommendation. We also accept most private health insurance.
