At Newark Physiotherapy Clinic we tend to spend up to half of eachtreatment session (each session lasts up to one hour) carrying out 'hands on' treatment. The remainder of the time the patient will have 'settling down' treatment to decrease inflammation and pain.

We of course specialise in sports injuries and can usually sort out most problems on the day or within a few visits at worst. However sport is unpredictable and so, we are in constant contact with allthe leading specialists in the area and can get preferential access to imaging and treatment via the private route if complex problems present.

My interest in sport lead me to complete a BSc(Hons) degree in Sports Science in 1999, and I followed this with a BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy at one of the top physiotherapy schools in thecountry, Coventry University in 2002. Martin and the surgeons and therapistsare active internationally as teachers and lecturers. He has also worked with members of England's 2003 Rugby World Cup winning team, world champion kick boxers & body builders and also national team members for swimming, kayaking and taekwondo, amongst many other sports.

Reducing the cost of absence and injuries at work can have a significant impact on improving productivity and performance.

The Heathcoat Street Clinic is situated in the centre of nottingham, in modern newly renovated premises. We have a team of qualified professionals who can work as independent practitioners, ortogether to provide injury assessment, treatment, and health care. You do not usually need a GP referral, and in most cases we can diagnose the injury, and advise whether you need a Surgical Consultant's opinion, or is appropriate to treat at the clinic. We can also manage injuries post-operatively.

Rory graduated from the highly respected School Of Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford in 2000. Joining the Bradford Teaching Hospitals and completing rotations in a wide range ofphysiotherapy departments, Rory chose Musculoskeletal physiotherapy as his professional focus.
